Your Spiritual Life
This is a category that is based entirely on inner-learning, slow evaluation, and reflection. You develop and define your own spirituality. I don't like the word "religion" because it defines you within a certain perimeter of guidance, whereas "spirituality" defines how you perceive yourself within the world as a soul and as a human being. It’s a very individualized journey. I cannot tell you how to see your place in the world. I do not have the authority to say that.
All of our categories emphasize finding your particular version of the given puzzle piece — with this one in particular. If it’s through traditional theocracy, if it’s through self guided meditation, whatever it may be…find your place in the world as a soul, find a system of belief that gives you faith…it doesn't need to be connected to a god or a greater being. It could just be based in humanism - I am here while I am here, and that gives me something to live for.
Your spirituality is how your soul functions in the greater sense of things.

What does "spirituality" mean?
"Modern spirituality is centred on the “deepest values and meanings by which people live”. It embraces the idea of an ultimate or an alleged immaterial reality. It envisions an inner path enabling a person to discover the essence of his/her being."
“Spirituality is the measure of how willing we are to allow Grace - some power greater than ourselves - to enter our lives and guide us along our way. But that’s just me. Get a room full of people and ask each one of them what spirituality means to him or her and the definition will get blurry. Any consensus you might get will be vague, at best. And with vagueness comes confusion”.
“Spirituality is to experience a domain of awareness which is universal. When we experience this connection with the universe which is beyond our personal skin and ego, then we receive the spontaneous understanding of love and compassion, it becomes our nature, not as a moral dictate but as something that is a natural expression of ourselves.
It also gives us insight into the mechanics of how intention ochestrates it’s own fullfillment. Spirituality is a sense of connection with the greater power of the universe, the mystery we call spirit or god. By gaining a sense of connection with this creative power we gain self-esteem and have the ability to create because we align ourselves with the elements and forces of the creative universe”.
We begin to understand that the we are all connected, that the universe is conscious and that it is evolving, and our personal evolution is somehow linked to the evolution and for some it is the mystery we call god”.
The planet does not need
more “successful people”.
The planet desperately needs more
peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers,
and lovers of all kinds”.

What does "spirituality" mean to you?
Reflect: Spirituality is a spectrum and where you land is dependent on a number of factors: your values, beliefs, experiences, and needs. The first step to reflection is creating your own definition of spirituality. We can often get caught in the pattern of following the set steps to other’s spiritual practices. While using another person’s guidelines can be helpful to exploring your own spirituality, it should only remain a framework to creating your own definition.
Food for Thought
By Brene Brown
“We are in a spiritual crisis, and the key to building a true belonging practice is maintaining our belief in inextricable human connection.
That connection - the spirit that flows between us and every other
Human in the world - is not something that can be broken….
…. so if we love the idea of humankind
But people in general are constantly on our nerves, and we cannot cover
everything up we don’t like, how DO we cultivate and grow our
belief in inextricable human connection internally?
The answer that emerged from my research shocked me.
Show up for collective moments of joy and pain so we can actually
bear witness to inextricable human connection.
We have to catch enough glimpses of people connecting to one another
and having fun together that we believe it’s true and possible
For all of us”.
